Certification Authority

We operate as a private Certification Authority and maintain our own Public Key Infrastructure (P.K.I.).

Please install the Station Theta Root Certificate Authority certificate that is required to validate all digital certificates that have been issued by our service and are used for secure and authenticated access to our services.

How to verify the fingerprint

Please verify the fingerprint of our certificate before installing it in your web browser or email client or your system. For this purpose you can invoke the x509 command of the OpenSSL toolkit using the -fingerprint option as shown below.

For verification using the MD5 digest algorithm invoke the command:

openssl x509 -in stationtheta-pki-root.crt -noout -fingerprint -md5

For verification using the SHA1 digest algorithm invoke the command:

openssl x509 -in stationtheta-pki-root.crt -noout -fingerprint -sha1

The certificate fingerprint verification is done by manually comparing the MD5 or SHA1 fingerprint of your local copy of our certificate, that you intend to install in your clients or system, with the respective fingerprints that are published on this page and is used in order to ensure that your local copy of the root certificate is the same as the one distributed through this web site.

How to install our root certificate in your web browser

Please check the following notes about installing our Root certificate in popular web browsers and email clients.

Mozilla Firefox web browser

In the Privacy and Security section in the browser settings, press the View Certificates button in the Certificates section and select the Authorities tab.

Use the Import function to install the certificate.

Then select our certificate named Station Theta Certification Authority from the list of Certificate Authorities and press the Edit Trust button in order to set the trust settings so that the web browser can use the Certificate Authority to identify web sites.

Google Chromium web browser

In the Privacy and security section of the browser settings, press Manage Certificates and select the Authorities tab.

Use the Import function to install the certificate.

Then select the required trust settings about web site, email users or software makers identification and press the OK button.

Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser
